Listen to Hotel Garuda's remix of Kaskade's Fakin' It – premiere

Although the rain would have you believe otherwise, summer 's here! And you know what means: the search for the next summery smash is underway.

One contender that will keep you bopping while you fill your glass and get the sand between your toes is Fakin' It, from US DJ and producer Kaskade feat Ofelia K.

 LA-based underground duo Hotel Garuda are on remix duties on the track, which Kaskade created with Canadian producer Felix Cartal. Hotel Garuda certainly know their stuff when it comes to putting a new twist on a tune – they've previously remixed tracks for Lana Del Rey and Blonde.

The Hotel Garuda Fakin' It mix features a live piano, stripped-back, bass-heavy beats over a hypnotic vocal from singer-songwriter Ofelia K. It's released as part of a remix package, which also features other versions of the track mixed by Hook N Sling and Galactic Marvl, and is out tomorrow.
