Lionel Richie, Olly Murs and Barry Gibb honoured at the O2 Silver Clef Awards - watch

OfficialCharts.com caught up with all the stars at this year's ceremony, including Hozier, Gabby Roslin and Bee Gees' Barry Gibb.

Some of the world's biggest music stars were honoured for their contribution today at this year's O2 Silver Clef Awards today (July 1). 

Lionel Richie and Patti Smith were among the acts handed prizes at the ceremony, with Lionel picking up the prestigious Silver Clef prize and Patti being honoured with the Google Outstanding Achievement Award.

Money raised from the event goes to music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, which tops out at £9 million since the inaugural awards 41 years ago. The charity works in partnership with a wide range of organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals using music therapy to support people living with a wide range of needs.

Other winners this year include Olly Murs for AEG Live Best Male, Massive Attack for Royal Albert Hall Best Group, and Jess Glynne for Jack Daniel's Best Newcomer. 

On being presented the Outstanding Achievement Award, Patti Smith said, “I’m excited and thrilled to receive this award. I want to say a huge thank you to Nordoff Robbins for all the amazing work they do which makes an incredible difference to people’s lives.”
