Oscar winning musical movie La La Land has scooped plenty of accolades since its release, and it could get its jazzhands on another this Sunday.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone's feel-good American romance looks set to become the best-selling DVD and Blu-ray of the week, and has shifted 73,000 copies in its first three days on sale. Not to be discounted, Michael Fassbender's Assassin's Creed, based off the hugely popular video game, is selling well and sits behind at Number 2 on today's Chart Update.

La La Land has history with the Official Charts of course; the film's soundtrack peaked at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart in early February. Will the movie hold onto its lead and grab a very exclusive Official Chart double on Sunday?

Last week's Number 1, Jennifer Lawrence sci-fi picture Passengers is the only member of last week's Top 5 still within it at Number 3, ahead of Oscar winning Manchester By The Sea at 4, and Daredevil: Complete Second Season at Number 5.

The fastest-selling movie of the year so far Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is in danger of falling out of the Top 5 altogether for the very first time, and is currently at Number 6 in today's midweek marker.

New entries and high climbers

Line of Duty: Complete Series 1-3 is rising the ranks following the recent fourth season finale's transmission on TV, up 11 to Number 8 today, but will it stay in the Top 10 by Sunday? If it does, it will follow Season 4's very own standalone DVD which peaked at Number 8 last week.

Finally, a further three new entries look to secure a Top 40 position on Sunday. Pokémon The Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel is new at 23, Hijacked is fresh at 32, and Alien Hunter lands at 38 today.
