Kylie Minogue has released her brand new single Stop Me From Falling.

The optimistic track about falling in love again got its premiere on BBC Radio 2 earlier today (March 9) on Chris Evans' breakfast show. The song is in-keeping with the country styling of previous single Dancing and packs a punch with its infectious chorus.

Stop Me From Falling is the second single to be taken from Kylie's upcoming 14th studio album Golden, released on April 6. Kylie will embark on a small tour of six intimate shows in the UK and Europe this month, before hitting arenas for a full promotional jaunt in September and October.

The single is one of today's headline releases on #NewMusicFriday - view a full list of the new songs and albums available now.

At just over 3 minutes in length, it is the perfect length of a Eurovision song. Fancy flying the flag for Australia next year Miss Minogue? We would be here for that.

Kylie's album Golden is being released on a multitude of formats next month, including on gold cassette and clear vinyl. Look through all of the vinyl options in our preview of the biggest special edition vinyl records coming soon.

Personally, I like it a little better than "Dancing" but I'm not over-enthusiastic about this kind of style. I don't think it suits her (my sister told me "Dancing" sounds like an old Bangles song) and I don't think it's with this style of music that she will get back on top of the charts again unfortunately.

But I'm not worried about the album, I will buy it for sure, her different record companies usually never choses the right singles so I'm sure the album will be packed with good surprises and much better songs, as always.

Headline release for #NewMusicFriday??? It’s not even on Spotify’s New Music Friday Playlist. I’m asking why? Ageism?
