Kylie Minogue has hit the studio with DJ Fresh ahead on her new album

Kylie's famous for a club banger or two, and another could be in the works.

We've known for a while now that Kylie Minogue is working on her new album, but it's always nice to see some evidence, right?

The Australian pop icon has been pictured in the studio with dance hitmaker DJ Fresh, a good indication that Kylie is returning to the dancefloor bangers that ushered in a new era of success in the early 00s.

Also lending a hand in the studio were Dutch DJ duo TV Noise, and songwriter Karen Poole. Karen was formerly in the pop group Alisha's Attic and has written material for the likes of Janet Jackson, Lily Allen and Will Young. Karen and Kylie have collaborated numerous times on hits such as Chocolate, Wow and Timebomb.

It's also been confirmed that Kylie has worked with Sigala on her new LP, who is also no stranger to Top 10 hits in recent times. He currently occupies the Top 10 of the Official Singles Chart with his track Came Here For Love. More of the same for Kylie please!

OfficialCharts.com featured Kylie in our look at the huge albums still to come in 2017, a list that also features the likes of Foo Fighters, Niall Horan, Shania Twain and The Killers. Take a look at the must-listen albums on their way later this year.

Her career is over...recent singles and collaborations have been flops. Her last top 10 was the duet "Higher" with Taio Cruz in 2010.

no top 10 singles doesnt mean that career is over.... singles charts these days belongs to teenege "stars" and it doesnt mean that sting, depeche mode, u2 , celine dion, jennifer lopez etc are finished...dont you think? thy are still superstars selling albums and tours...even katy perry has problems to reach the top...do u think that somebody will remember drake or luis fonsi after 30 years???? i doubt but everybody remebers kylie and will do it forever :) her career wont be over even if she dies :)

What a ridiculous thing to say. She will release the album and I hope you realize how ridiculous you are...her last album was the ONLY album in her entire 30 YEAR career that didn't feature a top 10 single (Into the Blue reached 12)...to say her career is over is just malicious and beyond vile...and shows how stupid you are.

ok so she only scored top 20 singles for Impossible Princess out of her 30 year career still not enough to right her off. Sad.

BTW there's a typo in the headline, it should read "ahead of her new album"

Love it that OC is a huge fan of Kylie :) Unfortunately with the recent chart changes and also because of the age gap it's very unlikely that Kylie will feature in the Top 10 in the Singles Charts again. Maybe with the right collab... And if the album is going to be released in the autumn season, that Number One will be tough as well...
