Katy Perry to release new single Chained to the Rhythm this Friday

We'll be Teenage Dreaming every night until Friday.

Katy Perry is about to unleash her brand new single, and you can hear a teaser of it right now.

Chained to the Rhythm was previewed late last night (February 7) on Katy's official social channels. It will reportedly feature vocals from Bob Marley's grandson, Skip Marley while according to Hits Daily Double, is said to be produced by Max Martin and co-written by Sia.

The lead single from Katy's upcoming fourth LP, Chained to the Rhythm will be released this Friday (February 10). It is the first taste of new material since 2016's Rise, the promotional campaign song for the United States' 2016 Olympic team.

Katy has kick-started her fourth studio album's campaign with the debut of a new look; her brand new social images see the pop supremo wrapped in pastel pink with new bleach blonde hair and contrasting dark eyebrows. 

The exciting news comes after she was announced for the 2017 GRAMMY Awards, with the ceremony taking place this Sunday, February 12. 

Should Chained to the Rhythm hit the UK Top 40, it will mark Katy's 21st appearance, joining a back catalogue featuring Number 1 singles I Kissed A Girl, California Gurls, Part of Me and Roar. Look back at Katy's UK singles and albums chart history here.
