After seven weeks on top, Katy Perry knocks Avicii off Number 1, while Arctic Monkeys see all 12 tracks from their latest album, AM, in the Official Streaming Chart Top 40.

It’s all change at the top of the Official Streaming Chart, as Katy Perry’s Roar ends Avicii’s seven week stand at Number 1 with Wake Me Up.

The California Gurl, who spent a second week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart on Sunday, soars 11 places to claim the top spot today. And, in doing so, Katy denies Avicii the Official Streaming Chart record for most weeks at Number 1.

Wake Me Up (which falls two places to Number 3 today) is now tied with Daft Punk’s Get Lucky FT Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, and Bastille’s Pompeii, which have all spent seven consecutive weeks at Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart.

Ellie Goulding’s Burn holds firm at Number 2, while Arctic MonkeysDo I Wanna Know? (Number 4) and Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High? (5) from their latest album, AM, climb 12 and 10 places, respectively, to complete this week’s Top 5.

New Entries

Arctic Monkeys have the lion’s share of new entries on this week’s Official Streaming Chart (nine); Fans of the Sheffield band have not only rushed out to buy their fifth album, taking it to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, they have also devoured it on ad-based and subscription streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer, Napster, and Blink Box Music, too. Indeed, with previous single R U Mine taking the title of this week’s highest climber (up 65 places to Number 16), all 12 tracks from AM, are in this week's Top 40.

Dutch DJ Martin Garrix makes his Official Streaming Chart debut at Number 77 with Animals, while Eminem’s hotly anticipated comeback single, Bezerk, is new in at 91. This week’s new entries are completed by Neon Jungle’s Trouble (100).
