Fresh from releasing the tasty music video for her latest single Bon Appétit, Katy Perry has announced news of her new album, called Witness.

Katy's fourth studio record will be released worldwide on June 9, a collection that will feature what is described on her official website as having a "breadth of musical and thematic elements".

The megastar, who is the most followed person in the world on Twitter, will also take to the road for Witness: The Tour. A 43-date North American 2017/18 stint has been revealed, hinting that future UK, European and rest of the world shows will follow.

Katy has so far released two singles from Witness; the first is the Number 5-peaking lead track Chained to The Rhythm, while most recent offering Bon Appétit has so far reached a high of Number 40.

Witness has a lot to live up to: the star's last two albums, 2013's Prism and 2010's Teenage Dream, both reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.

Earlier this year Official Charts revealed Katy Perry's career album and single sales as well as her top sellers.
