John Newman announces new album Revolve, including collaboration with Idris Elba

The soul singer will release his second studio album in October.

John Newman has announced the details of his new album in a wonderfully efficient manner, revealing the artwork, tracklisting and a brand new song all in one go.

The Yorkshire soul singer-songwriter will release his second record Revolve on October 16 via Island. The album includes his latest single Come And Get It, chart-topping Calvin Harris collaboration Blame and the freshly-unveiled track Lights Down, which is available now when pre-ordering the LP. Revolve was recorded in Los Angeles, London and Miami and includes production from an array of hitmakers, including Greg Kurstin (Sia, Beyoncé, Ellie Goulding), the legendary Charlie Wilson from The Gap Band on on Tiring Game, and Jack Splash and Jerry Hey’s brass section (Michael Jackson’s‘ Thriller, Quincy Jones). The album also includes a collaboration with Idris Elba on the Revolve intro.
