IT is scaring away the competition on the Official Video Chart

Look out for Pennywise - he's on the rampage and heading right for Number 1 on this week's Official Video Chart.

IT, one of 2017's most popular horror movies, is by far and away the leader on today's Official Video Chart Update, which tracks the UK's DVD and Blu-ray market this week after three days on sale. With 76,000 units sold, IT is outselling the Top 10 combined. 

American Assassin starring Dylan O'Brien is new at Number 2, ahead of last week's Number 1 Dunkirk, which sat at the top spot for four weeks and also claimed the 2017 Christmas Number 1 DVD. 

Completing the Top 5 are Blue Planet II, up 88 places to Number 4 following the series' release on 4K and Blu-ray, and American Made (5).

New entries and high climbers

Racing 23 places to Number 6 in today's midweek sales flash is Strictly Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell. Her fitness DVD Diverse Dance Mix could be on for a new peak this week, and will mark the second week in a row that a new fitness release has hit the Top 10; Davina McCall's Toned in 10 peaked at Number 5 last week.

Jumanji rises 35 places to Number 31 as its sequel starring Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black continues to impress in cinemas across the country, and finally, supernatural drama A Ghost Story starring Rooney Mara is at Number 37.
