Hit Swedish songwriting duo Vargas & Lagola release new single As Long As I Have To: Premiere

After co-writing tracks for Katy Perry, Madonna and Galantis, the pair are stepping out on their own.

This week's #NewMusicFriday releases includes the second of a back-to-back single release from Swedish duo Vargas & Lagola - a pair of songwriters with some big pop credits to their name now breaking out on their own.

Following last week's offering of instrumental track Dolores, today (May 19) they unveil As Long As I Have To - a proper, singalong pop song of the lighter-waving variety with all the bells and whistles on its production.

Vargas & Lagola - real names Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontare - are what you might call 'accomplished' in the songwriting business. Between them, they've got credits on Madonna's Rebel Heart album and Katy Perry's Prism, as well as co-writes on tracks by Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, David Guetta and Galantis.

Earlier this year they kicked off their own project with the release of summer-tinged house pop number Rolling Stone, and they've got plenty more releases planned for 2017.
