According to the latest Official Charts Company sales data, Gotye FT Kimbra’s Somebody That I Used To Know is the UK’s biggest selling single of 2012 so far.

The 2012 half-year report published by the British music industry’s trade body, The BPI, reveals that the track has sold an impressive 1.1 million copies to date. It spent five non-consecutive weeks at Number 1.

Another former Number 1 single, Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen, is in second place with sales of nearly 850,000, while David Guetta FT Sia’s Titanium is at Number 3 with sales of over 791,000.

Nicki Minaj’s Starships is at Number 4 with sales of 678,000, while Fun. FT Janelle Monae’s We Are Young is at Number 5 with sales of over 672,000 copies.

US rapper Flo Rida has the lion’s share of tracks in the Top 20 biggest selling singles of 2012 so far with three tracks – Wild Ones (7), Good Feeling (16) and Whistle (20) – while Sia, Rita Ora, Nicki Minaj and David Guetta all feature on two tracks each.
