Lady Gaga's evergreen album The Fame returns for a fourth stint at number one in the Official Albums Chart the Official Charts Company confirms today.
The only other female solo artist to have achieved this feat is Dido with Life For Rent in 2003/2004.
The Fame debuted at number three in the Official Albums Chart on its release in January 2009. It first made it to the top spot in April that year when it stayed at number one for four consecutive weeks. It returned to number one again on two separate occasions, each for a week, in March 2010.
The Fame has spent a phenomenal forty eight weeks in the Top 10 since its release. In 2010 to date, it has never been out of the Top 10.
There are no new entries in this week's Official Albums Chart Top 10.
In the Official Singles Chart, London trio Scouting For Girls' This Ain't A Love Song is number one for a second consecutive week.
There is one new entry in this week's Official Singles Chart Top 10: Timbaland's Carry Out featuring Justin Timberlake is at number six up from number sixteen last week.
