It seems there’s no stopping George Ezra, as his latest single Shotgun notches up a third week at Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart

The track, taken from his second album Staying At Tamara’s, finishes comfortably ahead of its closest rival, Clean Bandit’s Solo ft. Demi Lovato (2), while Jonas Blue’s Rise ft. Jack & Jack leaps four places to Number 3 and could challenge for next week’s top spot.

Speaking to OfficialCharts.com/Ireland, George said: "I never thought that this would happen. The thing that’s most amazing about it is the fact that all of you out there are sharing the song and playing it loud and enjoying it with your summer, which is exactly what I wanted. I can’t thank you enough."

New entries and high climbers

Three more new songs enter this week’s Top 10: Years & Years’ If You’re Over Me zooms from 14 to Number 6 following the release of their new album Palo Santo, Tiesto’s Jackie Chan ft. Dzeko, Preme & Post Malone jumps three spots to Number 8 to earn the Dutch DJ his second Top 10, and Drake’s In My Feelings from his latest album Scorpion is new at 10.

This week’s biggest climber is Cheat Codes x Little Mix’s Only You, which vaults 22 places to Number 25, and there’s also a big leap for Jax Jones – Ring Ring ft. Mabel & Rich The Kid is up 12 rungs to Number 30.

Further down, three more songs enter this week’s Top 50: James Arthur’s You Deserve Better at 48, Dublin-born Gavin James’ at 49 with Always, and Rudimental’s Let Me Live ft. Major Lazer & Anne-Marie at 50.
