Gangnam Style star to keep his clothes on

After promising to perform his international smash Gangnam Style topless if he got to Number 1 on the US’s Billboard Hot 100 today (Thursday, October 4), sadly (or fortunately, depending on your perspective) Psy will be keeping his clothes on, at least for now.

The K-pop sensation’s track, which hit Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart this past Sunday, has failed to budge Maroon 5’s One More Night from the Top of the US singles chart.

“If Psy had made the same shirtless pledge regarding the Official Charts Company, then the UK fans would already be getting an eyeful of Psy topless,” said Billboard.

Fun.’s Some Nights holds the Number 3 slot on the Billboard Hot 100, while Taylor Swift’s We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Number 4) and P!nk’s Blow Me (One Last Kiss) (5) complete this week’s Top 5.

In related news, Psy scored his 11th international Number 1 earlier this week as Gangnam Style hit the top spot in China. To date, it has reached Number 1 in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, The Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, South Korea, and of course the UK’s Official Singles Chart.
