Fifty Shades Darker fending off eight new entries in race for Number 1 DVD this week

Love is still in the air on the Official Video Chart - Fifty Shades Darker looks set to retain its status as the bestselling DVD and Blu-ray in the UK.

Storming to the helm of the chart on last week's standings with 155,000 units sold, the romance film is on course to hot up the top spot once again, and is Number 1 on today's Chart Update, a midweek sneak peek at the home entertainment landscape here in the UK.

At Number 2 at the halfway mark is a new entry Hidden Figures, the Oscar-nominated drama starring Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae. Rounding out the Top 5 today are The LEGO Batman Movie (3), Patriots Day (4) and Sing holding firm at Number 5.

New entries and high climbers

A further seven new entries are impacting this week's sales flash, the next highest being The Complete Season 5 of Prison Break at Number 15. The release leads three further back-to-back entries: Don't Take Me Home (16), Homeland: The Complete Sixth Season (17), and A Cure For Wellness (18).

Antonio Banderas' Security looks to open at Number 20, while Sean Bean movie Drone (we presume he dies in it like everything else!) is new at 24.

Finally, in preparation for the release of its sequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes rebounds an impressive ninety places to Number 38.
