Ex Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello announces debut solo album with heartfelt message

The singer shares a heartfelt letter with fans to announce her first album.

Former Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello has announced details of her debut album, called The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.

The 20-year-old announced the collection with a heartfelt letter to fans, explaining how the album is her story of her "journey from darkness to light". 

The first single from the record will be released on May 19, with the album following later this year. Camila also revealed that her second single, I Have Questions, was written while on tour with Fifth Harmony at a time she felt "completely broken".

As part of Fifth Harmony, Camila has scored five Top 40s on the Official Singles Chart, including Top 10s Worth It and Work From Home.

As a solo artist, she's collaborated with Machine Gun Kelly on Top 20 hit Bad Things, plus Shawn Mendes' I Know What You Did Last Summer and more recently, Pitbull on The Fate Of The Furious film soundtrack song Hey Ma.

Camila quit Fifth Harmony in December 2016, though it wasn't exactly a harmonious exit, with the band exchanging statements on social media
