Eminem and Rihanna’s The Monster has knocked Lorde's Royals off the top of the Official Streaming Chart.

The Monster by Eminem FT Rihanna is the most listened to song in the UK this week.

The track, which features on the US rapper’s Official Number 1 album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, has climbed to Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart, ending Lorde’s one week run at the top with Royals.

The Monster made its Official Streaming Chart debut three weeks ago, entering at Number 82. It climbed a massive 80 places last week before claiming the top spot today. It is Eminem’s first Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart (which launched in May of last year) and Rihanna’s second (Diamonds peaked at Number 1 last October).

Lorde’s Royals slides one place to Number 2, while the remainder of the Top 5 is static with One Republic’s Counting Stars at Number 3, Miley CyrusWrecking Ball (4) and Katy Perry’s Roar (5).

New Entries

There are eight new entries on this week’s Official Streaming Chart. Britney Spears leads the charge, debuting at 56 with Work Bitch. Lady Gaga’s Venus follows at 63, while Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You enters at 65.

Lily Allen’s cover of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know is new in at 70, followed by Storm Queen’s former Official Singles Chart Number 1, Look Right Through, at 73.

Katy B’s 5AM (82), Eminem’s Beautiful Pain FT Sia (89) and Keane’s original version of Somewhere Only We Know (91) complete this week’s new entries.
