Emeli Sande holds firm at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart after 55 weeks in the Top 10.

Emeli Sande’s Our Version Of Events notches up a tenth non-consecutive week at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart today.

The winner of the BRITs Album Of The Year and the biggest selling album of 2012, Our Version Of Events has sold over 1.66 million copies since its release last February, and has spent an impressive 55 weeks in the Top 10.

Mumford And Sons hold steady at Number 2 with Babel, while Les Miserables climbs two places to Number 3 and Ben Howard’s Every Kingdom (Number 4) enjoys another Top 5 week post-BRITs.

New Entries

Rock supergroup Atoms For Peace claim the week’s highest new entry and a Top 5 debut with Amok (Number 5). Atoms For Peace are the new experimental supergroup formed by members of Radiohead and Red Hot Chili Peppers, they are also labelmates of chart superstar Adele at independent outfit XL Recordings.

Veteran West End Star Michael Ball makes a return to the Official Albums Chart with Both Sides Now (Number 8), while US singer/songwriter Josh Groban scores his first ever Top 10 album in the UK with All That Echoes (Number 9).

Former Smiths guitarist and NME Godlike Genius Award winner, Johnny Marr, is fresh in at Number 10 with long-awaited debut solo album The Messenger (Number 10), while London indie rockers Palma Violets enter the Official Albums Chart one place behind him at Number 11 with their debut album, 180.

This week’s new entries are completed by Petula Clark’s Lost In You (Number 24) and  Porcupine Tree guitarist Steven Wilson’s The Raven That Refused To Sing (Number 28).
