If you thought that Ed Sheeran's Perfect was already romantic enough, the song's official music video released today will give you even more butterflies in your stomach.
The winter-themed visual for Perfect was filmed in Hintertux in the Austrian alps, and the result sees Ed and friends enjoy on a snowy getaway. The music video was directed by Jason Koenig, who also oversaw Shape of You's clip. Similarly in both, Ed strikes up a connection with a love interest, this time played by American actress Zoey Deutch.
We're getting quite the Last Christmas vibes from the video - it's also in a skiing setting complete with a ton of flirting. While we're missing an iconic dropping of a present and a longing gaze over the Christmas turkey, we get romance in the form of making snow angels and a log cabin guitar serenade.
Even Ed's slow dancing from Thinking Out Loud also makes a return, but this time it is under the stars. We think we've got something in our eyes...
The fourth single from Ed's third studio album ÷, Perfect originally peaked at Number 4 on the Official Singles Chart following ÷'s release. Since being promoted as an official single, it has been boosted back to Number 6, but we wouldn't rule out it challenging for Number 1 in the coming weeks.
2017 has been an incredible year for Ed, aside from breaking his elbow and wrist of course. He has achieved 10 UK Top 10 singles this year, the fastest-selling album ever by a male solo artist, 17 weeks at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, and the most-streamed single ever in UK chart history.
