While nine new entries are set to impact the Official Video Chart this Sunday, the midweek sales flash still has The Greatest Showman out in front.
Today's Official Video Chart Update, tracking DVD & Blu-ray sales since Monday, reveals that The Greatest Showman is on course for a third week at Number 1, having shifted 50,000 units in the last three days.
50k puts the Hugh Jackman musical movie 22,000 copies ahead of its nearest rival, Aardman Animations stop-motion comedy Early Man (2). The Maze Runner: The Death Cure is also a big new release this week, charting at Number 3 in the midweek sales flash.
New entries and high climbers
Of the nine prospective new entries on this week's Top 40, a further two are heading for the Top 10. 12 Strong, the war drama starring Chris Hemsworth opens at Number 5, while Matt Damon comedy drama Downsizing is new at Number 9.
Helen Mirren horror Winchester is spooking out the Number 12 slot, the Michael Caine narrated documentary My Generation is aiming for Number 13, while The Royal Wedding is already available to buy, and pulls its carriage to Number 15.
Finally, Maze Runner Trilogy, a three-movie set of all of the Dylan O'Brien-starring movies bows at 26, and Jean-Claude Van Damme action movie Black Water rides the tide to Number 30.
