Drake and George Ezra are heading into a third week of combat on the Official Singles Chart.

In today's Official Chart Update, less than 3,000 combined chart sales separate Drizzy's viral dance anthem In My Feelings at Number 1, and George's uplifting summer jam Shotgun at Number 2. Shotgun recorded its strongest sales week last week - could that run of fortune continue and help the song return to Number 1?

In My Feelings is Drake's third Number 1 single of 2018, putting him in an elite club of artists to score a trio of chart-toppers in a calendar year. View every artist to achieve that chart feat here.

New entries and high climbers

DJ Khaled is set for this week's highest new entry with No Brainer ft. Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper and Quavo, currently at Number 9, while Cheat Codes and Little Mix are set to climb into the Top 10 with Only You, up six positions to 10.

6ix9ine, Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz could climb as many as 16 places to Number 19 with Fefe, plus Canadian DJ duo Loud Luxury may also enter the Top 20 for the first time with their song Body featuring Brando (20).

Eastside by Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid (29) and Au/Ra & Camelphat's Panic Room (32) are gaining momentum, while Rudimental & Major Lazer's Let Me Live ft. Anne-Marie and Mr. Eazi is one to look out for, currently at Number 41.

I'm surprised that the battle for #1 is currently this close, as I thought 'In My Feelings' would be way ahead given its virality.
Outside of that, I love the continued upward movements for: 'Only You', 'Body' & 'Eastside'! :)

I think that 'In My Feelings' will be further ahead come Friday, but I'm pretty surprised that it's this close as well! It looks like 'In My Feelings' had a dip on iTunes, going down to lower than 44% of 'Shotgun', but it's now back up to 77%. It's also down to 693k on Spotify, compared to 'Shotgun's 447k. It could just be a temporary dip, but at the moment 'In My Feelings' is coming down much faster than I thought it would.

It wouldnt have been number 1 if it wasnt for the dance craze associated with it and dance crazes soon were off. Hopefully the sooner the better, my dog howls more musically than the woman in the track tries to do some kind of scream.

Then this latest stupid dance move craze(Give me the golden oldie classic dance moves anyday) will die out by Summers end and Drake(Don't call him Drizzy as that's a n insult to Dizzy Rascal) reign will end unless that unrepetant Bulldog called George Ezra finally gets a second bite at the top.
