They’ve dominated the chart in the run up to Christmas and today Clean Bandit’s Rockabye keeps its place at Number 1 on the last Official Singles Chart of the year.

After bagging this year’s Official Christmas Number 1 last week, Rockabye remains a staggeringly popular record in Britain. This week, predominantly driven by downloads, Rockabye holding firm to log an eighth week at the summit.

Rockabye is the most purchased track of the week in the UK, racking up 44,000 downloads plus 3.4 million streams. Rockabye is the second-longest running chart-topper of the year behind Drake’s One Dance (15 weeks).

Watch the group celebrate claiming the 2016 Official Christmas Number 1 below:

Meanwhile, Zara Larsson claims a new personal best with I Would Like, which rises four places to the Number 2 slot. Her previous highest-charting song is the Number 3-peaking Lush Life.

Is it just me or the charts didn't update yet? I'm seeing the last week's charts instead of this week's.

They still haven't updated it. Maybe Honey G is blocking it to delay her humiliation.

Not even in the top 100 after checking. So much for the hype 'ey? Proof she was just a joke and a pile of pants much like Lord Simon of Cowells' stupid £300 haircut. :-).Oh and Clean Bandit will not match Drakes' boring reign in tge New Year.

Could OCC tell us if Brenda Lee's single has broken the record for the longest gap between appearances in the top 40? Glad All Over by the Dave Clark Five re-appeared in 1993 as well as last week so it's not a contender.

Congratulations to Clean Bandit for an eighth week at #1 with 'Rockabye' & to Zara Larsson for reaching a new personal best on the UK Charts with 'I Would Like' at #2. :)
Happy to see Little Mix's 'Glory Days' lead the albums chart this week too. Also, as Radio 1 mentioned earlier, I'm also pleased that 'Last Christmas' by WHAM! could reach the Top 10 back on the singles chart. :D
Excited for the Chart Of The Year later today as well! ;)

Hey Sunshine Gal! :)
Well as for this week, I know George's Michael's greatest hits album, 'Ladies & Gentlemen' surged to #8. The highest charting solo hit he had on the singles chart this week was 'Careless Whisper' at #44. Unfortunately, I think both of these might fall by next Friday. :/
Oh by the way, the Top 10 songs of the week were...
#1: Clean Bandit ft Sean Paul & Anne-Marie - Rockabye (=)
#2: Zara Larsson - I Would Like (+4)
#3: Rag'n'Bone Man - Human (-1)
#4: Little Mix - Touch (=)
#5: Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You (=)
#6: Little Mix - Shout Out To My Ex (+7)
#7: WHAM! - Last Christmas (+9)
#8: The Weeknd ft Daft Punk - Starboy (-1)
#9: James Arthur - Say You Won't Let Go (=)
#10: Bruno Mars - 24k Magic (+2)

gee mate, took you long enough to bring your ar$e back! :D oh we also have to keep an eye on the bb's 'catalog albums' chart after next week..i'm very confident our mate george will be flooding the top 10. did simm mention that george will be on the bb charts on sunday and monday?

When I last asked Simm, he said that there would be none in the Top 20. I still need to check with him whether or not any of George's or WHAM!'s singles will be in the Hot 100 though.
Didn't Prince get the entire Top 15 of the Catalog Albums Chart when he died?

i forget if prince got the entire top 15, i know mj got all but 1 entry in the top 10 on the catalog albums chart. but i wouldn't be surprised about prince...he's made many albums since the late 70s over here. on the main 200 albums chart, i think the faith album and listen without prejudice may re-enter the top 10...but i'm more confident about the catalog albums chart.

and i'm so glad that the hot 100 now allows older songs to re-enter...you should've seen the hot 100 recurrents chart the week after mj passed. (i bought the physical mag. and still have it! mj tribute on it) mj flooded almost all of the 100 entries..if he were allowed to chart on the hot 100 chart, he'd have 3 top 10's that week. billie jean, man in the mirror and beat it. i'm very confident that mj will be back on the hot 100 chart later on ;)

Well for our next chat, I'll let you know MJ did on the UK Charts after he passed away. If I remember correctly, he had 20+ songs, maybe even 25+ songs in the Top 100 in the following week.
So is 'Thriller' your all-time favourite MJ album then? :)

on the hot 100 recurrents chart the week after he passed, he had something like 80+ entries in the whole chart...a lot of us mj fans were so mad that bb didn't change the rules then so he could be eligible on the main chart. but i'm very confident on the anniversaries of his bday and passing that mj will be back ;)

well, i hope some of george's songs can crack the top 10 on the hot 100 in the coming wks...i can't believe juju would still be in the top 10 and any of george's classics would be outside the top 10. if that happens, bb and i are gonna have a lil' talk LOL!

oh sorry mate, i forgot to answer your last question...well for my all time fave mj album, it's usually a tie between off the wall and dangerous. invincible is also a great album from start to finish. i do like thriller, but growing up with mj back then, it's very hard to just narrow it down on a fave album :D.
