Bruno Mars Joins The One Million Sellers Elite

Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are (Amazing) has become the UK's 108th million-selling single. It has taken 43 weeks to reach the milestone, since its release in September 2010. It's Bruno's third single, but his first as a solo artist.

Mars (born Peter Hernandez), the Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and producer, also counts credits on a number of other hit records as part of the production/ songwriting trio The Smeezingtons, formed with friends Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine. These include Flo Rida’s Right Round (Official Number One Single in 2009) and K’naan’s Wavin’ Flag (Number Two in 2010).

Mars also performed as a featured vocalist on the international number one Nothin’ On You by B.o.B (Official Number One Single in May 2010) and Travie McCoy’s summer anthem Billionaire (Number Three in July 2010).

He also made history earlier this year by becoming the first artist in 60 years to reach Number One with his first three singles (Just The Way You Are (Amazing), Grenade & The Lazy Song) and his debut album.

Doo-Wops & Hooligans was an Official Number One Album in January this year and has reached double platinum status.
