Bastille top the Official Streaming Chart with Pompeii

Bastille’s Pompeii ends Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ four week run at Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart with Thrift Shop.

After topping the Official Albums Chart with their debut full-length, Bad Blood, Bastille can now add another achievement to their growing list of accolades – a Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart.

The London quartet’s current single, Pompeii, debuted on last week’s Chart at Number 8, and today it climbs seven places to Number 1, ending ends Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ four week run at Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart with Thrift Shop.

Thrift Shop falls into second place, while Avicii Vs Nicky Romero’s I Could Be The One and Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors also fall one place to Number 3 and Number 4, respectively. This week’s Official Streaming Chart Top 5 is completed by Bruno MarsWhen I Was Your Man soars six places from 11 to Number 5.

New Entries And High Climbers

As well as having the Number 1 track on this week’s Official Streaming Chart, Bastille also have the lion’s share of the new entries (nine in total), too. The title track of their debut album, Bad Blood is new in at Number 14, followed by Overjoyed (29), Things We Lost In The Fire (32), Laura Palmer (59), These Streets (60), Icarus (63), The Weight Of Living – PT 2 (67), Oblivion (71) and Daniel In The Den (89).

These week’s other three new entries include Fleetwood Mac’s Everywhere (65), Laura Mvula’s Green Garden (83) and Bridgit Mendler’s Ready Or Not (94).

This week’s highest climber is Wiley FT Chip’s Reload, up 49 places from Number 98 to Number 49.
