The two bestselling DVDs and Blu-rays this week are making for an intergalactic battle at the top of the Official Video Chart, the UK's tally of physical home entertainment sales.

In today's midweek Chart Update, which gives an indication of what Sunday's final Official Video Chart will look like, it appears last week's Number 1 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will secure the top spot for another week.

Based on sales from Monday through Wednesday, Guardians, which stars the likes of Chris Pratt, Karen Gillen and Vin Diesel, is outselling its nearest rival by six-copies-to-one. In the runner-up spot currently is Season 10 of The Big Bang Theory, so we have two space-related titles proving popular this week.

New entries and high climbers

A further two new entries are on course for a Top 5 placing this week, the first of which is Sleepless. The American crime drama starring Jamie Foxx is at Number 4 today, while Amy Schumer comedy Snatched is at Number 5 based on 72 hours sale.

Spy comedy Kingsman: The Secret Service is set for a Top 10 ahead of the cinematic launch of its sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle next week. Previously peaking at Number 1 in June 2015, the movie has rebounded 69 places to Number 8 today.

Finally, a further two new entries could impact the Top 40 come Sunday. American Horror Story: Season 6 is at Number 22, while war movie Men of Honour impacts at Number 33.
