Another massive sale for Now That’s What I Call Music! 82

Despite facing tough competition from Isles Of Wonder, which features music from the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games, Now That’s What I Call Music! 82 has retained its position at the top of the Official Compilations Chart.

Last Sunday, the latest instalment of the hugely popular Now… compilation album series became the fastest selling album of 2012 so far, shifting an impressive 267,000 during its first week on sale. According to the latest Official Charts Company sales data, the album, which features Official Number 1 smashes from Carly Rae Jepsen, Fun., Maroon 5, Rita Ora, Rudimental, Will.I.Am, DJ Fresh, Cheryl and Gary Barlow, among others, shifted a further 130,000 week two, making it the biggest selling album in the UK for a second week running.

Isles Of Wonder climbs up from Number 5 to Number 2 on the Official Compilations Chart, while Now… spin offs Now That's What I Call Reggae!, and Now That's What I Call A No. 1!, are at Number 3 and 4, respectively. Ministry Of Sound’s The Chillout Session completes this week’s Top 5.
