The London electronic duo’s debut album, Body Music, has gone straight in at Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart.

AlunaGeorge’s debut album, Body Music, was the most purchased album in the UK’s independent record shops last week, OfficialCharts.com can reveal.

The London-based electronic duo - Aluna Francis (vocals) and George Reid (programming) - have gone straight in at Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart. The Official Record Store Chart was launched in April of last year by the Official Charts Company and the organizers of Record Store Day UK to reflect sales of the UK’s coolest and most vibrant independent record shops.

This week’s Official Record Store Chart Top 5 is completed by Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories  (Number 4) and Britain’s Got Talent stars Richard and Adam with The Impossible Dream (5).
