Adele refuses to budge from the top of the Official Albums Chart, as 25 remains in pole position for a sixth week and claims the first Number 1 album of 2016.

The album - which passed 2 million sales in record time last month - leads the tally 6,000 sales ahead of her closest rival, Elvis Presley’s If I Can Dream, which holds at 2. Click here to see where all of Adele's singles and albums have charted

Really surprised by the performance of that elvis album. It might even take no.1 next week. Who could've guessed it would be doing so well?

Well done Adele, another week at No.1 and the album has gone 8X platinum. Well done to Taylor too, still love 1989 more than a year after it's release.

Actually Adele only beat Elvis by 4,785 units and they were for downloads. Elvis actually sold more Physical Units than Adele. IICD also topped the Scottish Album Chart with Adele's '25' at No.2.

Really? It's been selling over 350K for the past five weeks, how did sales drop that much in one week?

Sales always drop in the first couple of weeks after Christmas for all artists.

I thought they got higher because a lot of people get iTunes vouchers. I wonder what her sales will be like next week then.

Elvis has given her a good run for her money. Not bad for someone who's been dead for 38 years!!

No, they always drop, always. And her album shift has been on track for an artist who sold 30 million before. She did 350 2 weeks ago, 150 the week before and 75K now. Those targets are perfectly in line.
