Adele was the big winner at last night’s (February 12) Grammy Awards.

The Tottenham-born singer walked away with six trophies at the 54th annual ceremony which was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Her single, Rolling In The Deep, won three awards - Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Short-form Music Video - while Someone Like You was crowned Best Pop Solo Performance. Adele’s second full-length, 21, scored the Album Of The Year and the Best Pop Vocal Album awards.

Amy Winehouse, who tragically passed away last summer, was posthumously awarded the Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group for her duet with Tony Bennett, Body And Soul. The Grammy was accepted on her behalf by her parents Mitch and Janis Winehouse after being called to the stage by Tony Bennett.

Meanwhile, host LL Cool J kicked off the show paying tribute to Whitney Houston, who was found dead on Saturday (February 11).

"We've had a death in our family," he told the audience. "The Grammy Awards were one of Whitney Houston's greatest joys. Let's all celebrate with joy."

Jennifer Hudson also paid tribute to Whitney by performing a cover of I Will Always Love You, while Rihanna asked the crowd to "make some noise for Whitney" during her performance of We Found Love.
