Adele’s '21' has added to its list of plaudits, earning the title of the biggest selling entertainment product of 2011 in a new survey compiled by the Entertainment Retailers Association using Official Charts data.

The album outgunned every other DVD, blu-ray and game in the UK, with Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 around 1m sales behind 21 in second place, selling 2.8m copies in 2011.

The Top 5 was completed by Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 1 in third place on 2.5m sales, FIFA 12 in fourth place on 2.2m sales and Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 on 2.1m sales.

According to the survey, a total of 19 products sold more than a million copies (compared to 18 in 2010), including five albums – by '19' and '21' by Adele, Michael Buble’s 'Christmas', Bruno Mars' 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans' and 'Now! 80'. In turn, five games and nine videos also surpassed the million barrier.

The survey is compiled using a combination of Official Charts Company data on video and music, along with Chart Track data on games.
