MAXIMO PARK

Maximo Park are an alternative rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne, comprising of vocalist Paul Smith (born March 13, 1979), guitartist Duncan Lloyd, and drummer Tom English. Formed in 2000, Maximo Park have also have two members depart the band, bassist Archis Tiku who left in 2014, and keyboardist Lukas Wooller who exited in 2019. Maximo Park's 2005 debut album A Certain Trigger featured four UK Top 40 singles, including Apply Some Pressure, Graffiti, Going Missing and I Want You To Say, the former of which featured on video game soundtracks for Burnout Revenge and SSX on Tour. A Certain Trigger saw Maximo Park nominated for the 2005 Mercury Prize. Maximo Park's second studio album Our Earthly Pleasures as their first to enter the Official Albums Chart Top 10, peaking at Number 2, and featured their only Official Singles Chart Top 10 song Our Velocity. Album track The Unshockable scored a coveted slot on the soundtrack to football video game FIFA 08. Other Maximo Park albums to enter the UK Top 10 include 2009's Quicken The Heart and 2014's Too Much Information.
