GEORGIA

Georgia is an English record producer, songwriter, singer, and drummer, born Georgia Rose Harriet Barnes on February 6, 1990 in London. Georgia comes from a musical family, with her dad Neil Barnes as part of UK Official Albums Chart Number 1 outfit Leftfield. Georgia begun a career as a footballer initially, playing for Queens Park Rangers W.F.C. and Arsenal W.F.C., but gave it up after the death of her coach, and took to BRIT School to learn drums. Georgia played as a drummer for the likes of Kate Tempest and Kwes, and released her self-titled debut solo album in 2015. Her commercial breakthrough album Seeking Thrills hit the Official Albums Chart Top 40 in January 2020 and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. Image: Richard Isaac/Shutterstock
