TOM JONES

Sir Tom Jones is a Welsh national treasure, a fixture in British music for over 50 years. Tom has recorded over 30 Top 40 songs, landing three Number 1 singles with It's Not Unusual, Green Green Grass Of Home, and later with Islands In The Stream in 2009. He has also notched up four Number 1 albums across his long career.
In April 2021 Tom Jones reaffirmed his status as a chart icon when his album Surrounded By Time landed straight in at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, setting a new UK chart record. At 80 years and 10 months old, Tom became the oldest male to claim a UK Number 1 album, and the oldest artist ever to do so with an album of new material, overtaking Bob Dylan, who topped the chart at 79 years old the previous June with Rough And Rowdy Ways. Aside from his career as a music performer, Tom is also known for his on-off role as a coach on The Voice UK.

It’s odd that there are 4 artists credited for islands in the stream and they solely credited Tom Jones and ignored the other 3.

Well you disgust me. I'm probably not the only one to notice the slur "Welsh national treasure" .
When obviously it should have been British national treasure. Use it when it suits you is it.
He was a British national treasure when he smashed the US in the 60s and 70s.
Now he's dropped off the radar a bit he's a Welsh national treasure . Typical English attitude.

To be fair, the site lists him as Welsh & I haven't ever seen them state he's an English treasure. To me (English man), I think he's firstly a Welsh treasure & then, only a british treasure if you're being more broad minded.

Not seeing how it is a slur. "Welsh National Treasure" is completely apt if he is more highly regarded in one part of the country than others. Much like Shaky an Shirley are. If anything, "British" national treasure is worse as it sort of implies England are claiming him as if we (English) haven't got our own.

Take it as it was meant: praise.
Even coming from the largest UK country, I'd still prefer to hear about "English" people rather than "British", if that is where they come from. Must be even more special for anyone from the smaller nations.

Allow people to have (and be proud) of their identity.

The pictures for the various Greatest Hits albums are all mixed up, too. The cover of the 2003 one appears next to the 1974 and 1987 ones – but not next to its own entry, which shows what appears to be the 1974 album!

It's under 'JENKINS / WEST / JONES / GIBB'

I think the more important question is what's going on with this entry?

KISS FT TOM JONES
ART OF NOISE FEATURING TOM JONES

The artists are Tom Jones & The Art Of Noise, while the song was KISS!

It's not listed here or on The Art Of Noise either, as it's yet another failed addition to the 'official chart' site pmsl

Didn't know Gene Simmons collaborated with Tom Jones to sing "Art Of Noise" :-)
